The challenge
Eurogarden’s pallet wrapper needed replacing. Which made it a good time to think about what the new machine should offer.
Since Eurogarden pays transporters on the basis of volume, pallets were measured and weighed by hand. But this process is inefficient, labour-intensive and not very accurate. So, time for a change. A tailor-made challenge for Certis Benelux!
Solution
After a thorough analysis of the requirements, we produced an advanced pallet wrapper that meets Eurogarden’s wishes perfectly. The machine has a balance that determines the weight very accurately. And the size of the pallets is also indicated. Everything is summarised so that the cost per pallet is determined more accurately.
Result
Thanks to the pallet wrapper, Eurogarden now saves time and money. Since everything is weighed and measured more precisely, the cost price for the transporters is also more accurate than before. This automation relieves the workers and leaves time for other tasks. And finally, the goods are distributed more evenly in the lorry which improves load stability.
A nice little extra: Eurogarden is so satisfied that they have also ordered a strapping machine.
